To My Valued Customers,
It has always been my desire to have a career in Landscape Design. The seeds of gardening were planted at an early age while watching and helping my father plant and maintain his vegetable and flower gardens at our family home. These early experiences influenced my love of the natural world. After receiving a degree from the University of Vermont, I explored the world of advertising and marketing and realized it was not where my heart was. I found myself at a crossroads and decided to devote my time and energy doing what I really loved to do, creating gardens. I found my truest expression in Landscape Design. While studying at Radcliff College in the Landscape Design program, I worked at a wholesale garden nursery as well as an interior Landscape Design company, City Gardens, based in Boston, Mass. I furthered my studies and received a professional certificate in Landscape Design from the New York Botanical Garden in 1992 and continued to work for several garden nurseries as well as a well respected residential Landscape Design company. In 1993, I started my own company and began designing, installing and maintaining gardens for my clients. My mission is to blend enduring design principles with horticultural enrichments as I shape my client's vision to create personalized gardens that compliment the natural environment and blend with their personal tastes and lifestyles. I feel grateful for having the opportunity to work with many wonderful people and believe that original, enduring gardens are the result of long lasting partnerships with my clients. Creating personal and timeless environments and seeing the joy that it brings to them is one of the greatest rewards of my profession. Jody Staunton |
